How to form a question:
First: WH questions.
- In order to form a question in the past simple; you need to use an auxiliary verb which is (DID).
For Example:
1. I watched a movie last night.
- if you want to ask a question with what ( to ask for information about things or people).
put (what) + auxiliary verb (did) + (Subject) + verb in base form.................................?
So the question will be:
- What did you watch last night?
2. Paul walker died in a car accident .
to ask a question with how ( to ask for the way or method)
put (How) +auxiliary verb (did) + (subject) + verb in base form................?
So it goes that way:
- How did Paul walker die?
One more example:
3. They bought a nice T. shirt last week.
Let's ask a question with (when).
- When did they buy the T.shirt?
WH questions with verb (be).
Example:
1. I was born in Italy.
To form that type of Questions all you do is just switch positions between the subject and the verb.
So to ask a question with (where)
Put where + verb + subject ...................?
the question is:
- Where were you born?
One more example:
1. the weather was cold yesterday.
- How was the weather yesterday?
Second: Yes Or No questions.
Forming that type of questions is very easy
you need to use an auxiliary verb (did) + Subject + verb in base form.
Example:
1. I listened to some music.
- Did you listen to some music?
Yes, I did . OR No, I didn't.
Example:
1. She went to the gem with my friends.
- Did she go to the Gym with your friends?
Yes, She did. OR No, She didn't
With verb (be):
1. They were in the garden last Sunday morning.
- Were they in the garden ........?
Yes, They were OR No, They weren't
1. She was in the kitchen 10 minutes ago.
- Was she in the kitchen 10 minutes ago?
Yes, She was OR NO, She wasn't.
