Forming negative and questions

The negative form

negative, present continuous, grammar, tenses
Present continuous negative form

  • In order to turn a sentence in the present continuous tense into negative, you just put the word ( NOT) after the conjugated verb ( BE ).

Example:
  •  I'm watching a tennis game on T.V.
I'm not watching a tennis game on T.V.   (It's just that simple)

I                   am + (verb+ ING).


He
She               is + (verb+ ING).

They             are + (Verb+ ING).
You


So, you conjugate verb (be) in the Simple present tense according to the subject and the verb in the base form + ING.

Past Simpe Tense (part 4)

How to form a question:


First: WH questions.

  • In order to form a question in the past simple; you need to use an auxiliary verb which is (DID).
Question, past simple, wh question
How to form a WH question in simple past

For Example:
1. I watched a movie last night.
  • if you want to ask a question with what ( to ask for information about things or people).

put (what) + auxiliary verb (did) +  (Subject)  + verb in base form.................................?
So the question will be:
  • What did you watch last night?

Past Simple Tense (Part 1)

The past simple tense:   الماضي البسيط 


Structure:     التركيب

With all subjects whether it is singular or plural; the past simple is conjugated the same way. 
الفاعل سواء كان مفرد أو جمع, الفعل بيتصرف معه بنفس الطريقه في زمن الماضي البسيط

Regular verbs:     الأفعال غير الشاذه

past simple, adding Ed, conjugate verb
 How to add (ed) to a verb in past simple tense

With regular verbs you just add (Ed, d or ied).

For example:

  • Just like the negative form you need an auxiliary verb to from a question in the present simple.


Note:
With (he, she and it) we use the auxiliary (does).
With these pronouns (I, we, they and you); we use the auxiliary (do).

Present Simple Tense (part 3)

      The negative form of the simple present:     أزاي ننفي المضارع البسيط


  • In order to make the negative form you need to use an auxiliary verb.

With (he, she and it) we use the auxiliary (does) + not.
We put (does not) after the subject and before the verb in its base form.

For example:

Usage of simple present:  أستخدام المضارع البسيط

  • We use that tense when we talk about:


a) An action that happens regularly, that means that it could happen every (day, week, year, 100 years,............Etc).

As long as it happens regularly you should use the simple present.

The present simple tense:                      زمن المضارع البسيط


·      The structure:                       تكوين الزمن                                      


Subject:        الفاعل

I                     (أنا)
They              (هم)
                      +          (verb in the infinitive form)
We               (نحن)
You                  (أنت – أنتم)

 
·        نضع الفعل في المصدر كما هو بدون أي أضافات .
